Happy Friday!
Yesterday was my 33 birthday…YAY BIRTHDAYS!!!
10 years ago 33 seemed impossibly old. A lifetime away. Something that only happens to other people, hahaha!! But I’ve gotta tell ya, 33 is AWESOME!
Seriously. I am so incredibly grateful for everything and everyone in my life. I have my dream job, my dream man, my dream LIFE!
I started my day with flowers from my amazing boyfriend. He is the best!
He got me several gifts but could’t wait until October 4 to give them to me so he started giving me presents around the middle of September. He gives the best presents. They are always practical yet fun. Last year for my birthday he got me a heated toilet seat! A heated toilet seat!! How great is that!?
He saved one present for the end and that was this cute little PINK Swiss Army knife!
Then I headed in to work and somehow everyone knew it was my birthday…I’m sure it doesn’t have anything to do with me saying “My birthday is next Thursday” to everyone I see.
I work with the BEST people in the world. For real. The girls at work decorated my office door.
How cute is that?!! It made my day 🙂
Then, when I thought my day couldn’t get any better, my boss brought me cupcakes from City Cakes! The best!!
Only part of the vanilla cupcake could be photographed because I bit into it immediately then set it down just long enough just to take a picture. Mmmmm frosting…
Then I had to go to the dentist to get a filling replaced (Unrelated to eating cupcakes. It fell out a couple days earlier.) Could have done without that part I suppose.
The rest of the day was pretty much a normal day at work, but a normal day at work is pretty much awesome. And since my door was so “festive” looking I had a lot of people stop in and wish me happy birthday.
Well, I just wanted to share all that and say thank you to all my wonderful friends and family and my work family of course. You all brightened my day for sure!
I have some Lilly photos as well. Oh that Lilly…
Here she is on a walk.
You might notice that she is actually not walking. It was a sunny day, Lilly had just had a bath. I take her out for a walk and just as soon as she is out of the shade and in to the sun she sits down in the middle of the road to sunbathe and refuses to move any farther. Look! She is about an inch out of the shade. She used as little energy as possible. And for a 16 pound dog she is surprisingly hard to move when she doesn’t want to move.
I dragged her a few feet, mostly just to get her out of the road and bam. She sits down again.
Again, just barely out of the shade. Now mind you, I’m trying to get her to go to the bathroom because it’s been roughly 12 HOURS since she last went. Lilly Pug don’t care. Lilly Pug sits where she wants (said in the honey badger guys voice). Is that normal? Lilly easily goes 12+ hours between needing to go outside. I offer it up more frequently but she doesn’t want to go!
Look at that stubborn little Drama Queen!
Have a great weekend! I will be posting a new workout and a new recipe or two next week!
